There’s always a smile for your kids in Qatar

I’ve just written my first column for The Telegraph online about expat life in Qatar. This one is about what a friendly place Qatar is for kids (and the tired, stressed parents of said kids!) Click here to read the article.

Loved your article about Qatar. Lived in Saudi Arabia same experience with shopping, when I got back to UK what a difference. My Mother aged 70 with very white hair was treated like a queen by the Saudi’s unused to an “old” western woman. She was there a month we could hardly get her to go home. What good days they were. Now living in USA and the grocery shopping experience unfortunately for returning to UK is so much better here. They pack the bags and smile while doing it.

What a great article! Have only been in Doha since April, with my husband @mrdamian76 who has been tweeting you! We don’t have any small people with us, but have found the customer service in general to be superb. We’re visiting the UK in August and I have a feeling that many things will strike me as ‘better in Qatar’!
